Warkworth Hotel

Warkworth Hotel: (NZHPT) The original hotel was situated downstream near the Wilson Cement Works. John Southgate (Licensee) erected the current building in 1864. The current hotel which underwent an extensive restoration in 2019 is certainly worth a visit to view historic photographs of yester-year which adorn the interior walls. The Norfolk Pine tree was planted in 1874 to celebrate the birth of Southgate’s son.
